Blog Assignments: 10/01 - 10/4/2012
The week of October -- First week in the new classroom and the new class:
Monday, 10-1-2011: "Cultural Background" -- type a few paragraphs about the culture in your home. Where are your ancestors from? Do you know what continent your cultural roots are derived from? If not, ask your parents or guardian. If you don't know at all, or don't have access to the information, make an eduated guess. Additionally, take a few photographs of art from your living room and add them to your dropbox. You can also use these images in your blog, to help spice it up a bit.
Tuesday, 10-2-2011: "Culture & Art" -- copy and paste the definition of "culture" into your blog, and be ready to have a discussion about it in class. Secondly, write at least two sentences about how art fits into culture.
Wednesday, 10-3-2011: "Raw Materials" -- research "recipes" for making paint, glue, varnishes and shellac; what common materials can we use to manufacture these substances, for use in our Art project, and post the recipes on your blog. Rememeber: ALWAYS cite your source in your blog entries -- both for the information, and especially for the images.
